60 Miles by Road or Rail

I founded 60 Miles by Road or Rail in my hometown of Northampton. 60 Miles creates a platform for Northamptonians of different generations to come together to question and strengthen their collective and individual relationships to the town. It does this by championing local people to create unique experiences inspired by the specificity of our communities’ shared experiences.

In 2022 60 Miles was nominated for Northamptonshire Community Foundation’s Trailblazer Award.

In 2021 I co-managed arts, heritage and community activities across Northampton and Corby. Activities included:

-        a new theatre production at Royal & Derngate, written by Ryan Leder

-        a 30-minute documentary film with Eight Engines

-        a digital photography exhibition at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery, photography Christian Sinibaldi

-        two co-created activities with Northampton and Corby communities, led by Subika Anwar-Khan and Ryan Leder

-        oral and written histories archived at East Midlands Oral History Archive and on our website
